Sheron Quails Obituary

Pastor Sheron Moore Quails, 70, of West Palm Beach, FL by way of Kissimmee, FL made her transition on November 18th. Pastor Quails lived a beautiful, dignified life. A discerning woman of exquisite taste, she provided comfort and solace while asking little in return.
Pastor Sheron was born on July 25, 1952 to Lillie Mae Lightsey. Little did Sheron know how impactful she would be in the community. God knew a mission needed to be completed so he blessed her with the heart of gold and the spirit of giving back. She started her ministry preaching the gospel and shortly after began BAG-A-Meal Ministries. In 1993 she met her husband and best friend Richard Quails and the ministry became Quails and Quails Brag About Me. Quails & Quails went on feeding the homeless, less fortunate, and senior citizens in the community and Pastor Quails was even given the name “The Produce Lady” as she collected produce to give out to families during the holidays. Giving to the less fortunate and senior citizens was near and dear to Pastor Quails’ heart, but she also loved children. She created summer camps for the children in the community to provide a safe space for the youth to flourish and grow. Pastor Quails was truly a pillar in the community and dedicated 40 plus years serving and living God’s word.
Pastor Quails or as her and her children would say, “DJ Lovely”, loved broadcasting. In her later years, she attended broadcasting school and it became one of her dearest passions. She was filled with a sense of humor and compassion like not other and will truly be missed.
Pastor Quails was preceded by her husband Richard Quails, grandmother Lugenia Holmes, mother Lillie Mae Lightsey, stepfather Eddie Lightsey, brother Darrell Lightsey, and sisters Torry Ross (Lightsey) and Sheila Lightsey.
She is survived by her children LaShandra Moore, Kevin Lewis, and Anthony Lewis, granddaughter Kaylani Lewis, sisters Rev. Dr. Pamela R. Lightsey and Charisse Mayfield (David Mayfield), brother Ron Lightsey, aunts Lillian Daniels and Mary Bell (Alonzo Bell), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
