Janice J Johnson age 78, of West Palm Beach Florida. Passed away January 14, 2026.
Janice J Johnson originally of West Palm Beach, Florida. She attended Roosevelt High School was raised in the Dunbar area of West Palm Beach between Douglas Ave and Tamarind Ave.
As she matured, Janice developed a love for Golf. She developed her skills as a “Caddy” and became very proficient at her profession. Her career in Golf began at The Palm Beach Country Club in West Palm Beach. It is here where she was able to perfect her skills and knowledge to help golfers of all handicaps. From there, Janice was so well respected she became the first black female Caddy at The Westchester Country Club in New York.
Janice Johnson’s memory will be cherished by her two sons Andre Albritton and Torris R Johnson. Her grandchildren Torris Johnson, Jr, Jonathon Hill, Tramal Johnson, and Jane-cia Johnson.
Janice’s golf family will also cherish the memories of a woman, who was a trailblazer for women in the Golf Caddy profession. Her colleagues such as Raymond Poole and “Locker Room Harold”.
Janice J Johnson’s golf legacy will continue through her son Torris and the grandchildren. May God comfort all of those who treasure this phenomenal woman.
