Dolores “Dee” Wheaton

Dolores “Dee” Wheaton, age 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 6, 2022 at her home in Palm Beach Gardens shared with her daughter Ashlie and husband Blake.  She was surrounded by Blake, Ashlie and her dogs Roger Federer and Akulani.  Dee was born on January 12, 1933 in Braddock, Pennsylvania.  She was married to Lee Wheaton for well over 39 years.  Dee had 7 of her own children, prior to marrying Lee:  Manda, Mark, Matt, Luke, John, Joe (wife Mary) and Ashlie (“Mary”) (husband Blake).  Manda, Mark, Matt, Luke and John unfortunately passed away before Dee.  Dee and Lee raised beautiful children besides the ones above who are:  Dennis (wife Laura), Gail (husband John), Cheryl (deceased husband Tom), Lenore (husband Gary), Leland (“Bink”) (wife Tina), John (wife Sharon) and had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Dee was an excellent mother, grandmother and best friend to anyone who knew her.  Dee had her masters in bridge, was an avid golfer, terrific scrabble and Mahjong player, music and dance lover, enjoyed cruises with her friends and family, had been all over the world with her husband Lee (deceased), homemaker, entertainer, faithful Catholic, book reader, enjoyed movies, played many games, had an awesome sense of humor, great story teller and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  Dee will be sorely missed and loved by many.  Family is asking in lieu of flowers, for donations to TrustBridge Hospice https://trustbridge.com/ in her honor.  A celebration of life will be held on October 22, 2022 @ 11:00 a.m. at Cathedral of St Ignatius Loyola, 9999 N. Miliary Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410 and a luncheon will follow at the same location dining area.  Please rsvp to Ashlie22@comcast.net as Ashlie needs a head count for the luncheon.
