Ms. Berna Dean Pickens, age 70, passed away peace- fully at home on January 12, 2025, in West Palm Beach, Florida.Born on May 29, 1954,Ms. Pickens was raised inWest Palm Beach and at-tended Palm Beach HighSchool. She dedicatedmany years of her careeras a Patient Care Technician Ian in the ICU at St. Mary’s Hospital before  retiring. Her compassionate nature and self- less dedication to others left a lasting impact on those she cared for. Ms. Pickens found joy In cooking, listening to gospel music, taking long car rides, and relaxing near the intercoastal waters. She was raised in New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, which played a role in shaping her early years.She was a loving daughter, mother, and grand-mother. She is survived by her children, Troy Pickens and Michael Wallace, who also served as her caregiver. She was preceded in death by herparents, Howard and Sallie Bell Pickens.. A graveside interment service will be held onMarch 6, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery  located at 1301 S Dixie Highway, West PalmBeach, FL 33403. Ms. Pickens’ kindness and warmth will be deeplymissed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind
